The room
The Lake Suite occupies the western corner of the house, where the building steps out towards the water. The bedroom and the sitting room are separate spaces joined by a double door, so one of you can read late without keeping the other awake.
Furniture is a mix of restored originals and pieces made for the hotel: a walnut writing desk, a pair of deep armchairs by the window, a marble-topped dresser. The bed is a hand-built king with a wool mattress and linen sheets changed daily.
The balcony runs the full width of the suite. In summer we set it with a small table for breakfast; in winter it is the best seat in the house for watching the weather come across the lake.

- Lift to all floors. Step-free route from the entrance; roll-in shower in the Garden Room instead.
